M. Lynnette Schaefer A.B.O.M. is the only Master Optician in Missoula. She earned her Master in Ophthalmic Optics through the American Board of Opticianry. Since there are no licensing laws in Montana, anyone can say they are an Optician. Lynnette backs up her services with years of experience and training and continues research to stay up-to-date on all new technology to offer the best products to her customers. All you need to do is bring in your prescription from your favorite optometrist or ophthalmologist and let her do the rest. You can also get an exam on site by an Independent Doctor Of Optometry.

 

Specialty Sizing

Large faces, small faces, long faces, high bridges, low bridges, long eyelashes – these are just a few of the things that can make it very hard to get glasses that fit. We can make larger or smaller lenses to fit your face better. We can make special edging changes that will move how the lenses fit in the frame for bridge placement. And we can increase your vertex distance to clear long lashes. There are many ways we can alter frame or lens design to give you a better fit – these are just a few of the options.

Custom Clips

We can make clips just for your lenses. A magnet is implanted into your lenses and a clip is made to pop right on. You can choose a sun clip, computer Rx clip, reading clip, or even a Halloween clip. You can even piggyback clips (in case you want to read at the beach).

We choose the lens that best fits your needs. Are you on a computer all day? Maybe you are an over the road truck driver. Even the frame you choose makes a difference in the lens style that is best for you.

 

Filters, Coatings, and Tints

There are too many to mention. We do polar filters, color filters for shooting, skiing, golfing, welding etc. If it can be made, we can get it for you – just ask!
